OBJECTIVE: Laryngectomees are persons without vocal cord due to larynx cancer. Indonesian Laryngectomee’s Association (PWE) is a peer organization. It is a Non Government Organization (NGO) although professional like doctors and therapis also joint, to support and do professional things. Since 1992 Indonesian laryngectomee’s Association jointed Asian Federation Larynxectomee Association (AFLA) which was develop by Japan. Objective of this study was to evaluated the role of the supporting group

RESULTS: The role of supporting group for esophageal speech is evidenced.
CONCLUSION: The peer group with contribution of physical medicine specialist, speech therapist, physical therapist, and others will enhance the success of esophageal speech in laryngectomees.
